adjustable ridgeline on doublenest

Ive replaced my suspension with chain link, cinch buckles and webbing. Whats the best way to attach the adjustable ridgeline?

Just undo the larkshead from the suspension and pass it through the loop on the end of your ridgeline then larkshead back. Do this on both ends.

If you pack it and unpack it the same way you shouldn't have a problem.

I'd always just slide the end loops over the suspension like in the two threads...

I still don't get the point of an adjustable ridgeline, but I put a ridgeline on my doublenest just like Toygun mentioned.

You add it to your hammock to keep a consistent hang regardless of the distance between your anchor points. This allows you to keep the same angle in your hammock. You use an djustable ridgeline so you can get it tuned in to what best fits you.

Yeah, but my question is why would you want an adjustable ridgeline? Once you get the right length figured out, why would you want even the possibility of it being changed? Just curious.

You're right, it's typically just for getting the sag dialed in. Once you get it where you like it you can leave it. Having it adjustable is handy if for some reason you want more or less sag after using it a while or if you want to make a fixed length one and then swap it out so you can use the adjustable one other hammocks. Just gives you options.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I was missing something. I just took my own ridgeline rope and kept adjusting a temporary knot shorter or longer around the suspension until it seemed right, and then I made a more permanent loop end for it at that length ... never looked back.
