    Wink Nature call in hammock

Not having spent a night yet in my new hammock, I don't know how much moving around can you do With that said, many people seem to keep a pee bottle with them in their hammocks for the call of nature. . You probably would not have a lot of success accomplishing it in the horizontal position, so what is the best method. I usually kneel in my tent, but can you kneel in a hammock? And please don't say you just hang it over the side because I don't want to feel cheated the rest of my life.

If you are somewhat flexible, it can be done. Lay on your side on the edge of the hammock. Then slide your hips off the edge while keeping your shoulders and knees in the hammock to counter balance. Then you just pee from the hammock. It takes some getting used to before you gain enough confidence to know you won't flip out.

i like to put my left hand on the ground while doing it almost exactly like that, you can lean farther out.

spreading your legs and tilting the bottle downward a good bit works well too, the wide mouth bottle makes it possible to tilt the bottle a good amount past horizontal. volume mistakes here could be costly though.

You have to hang the hammock high enough off the ground.

Seriously, this is one of many reasons I'm looking forward to 2Q/ZQs' #2 Mod Bugnet Zipper in my Hennessey. With the stock HH, you have to get out of the hammock or risk wetting your bed. The Bugnet Zipper changes all that.

I wonder if the folks at Gatorade know how many people recommend their bottle...?

just get up out of the hammock or tent and go. I never go pee right in front of a tent or hammock. Your urine has salt which attracts animals. Last thing you would want to see is a skunk or bear in front of you in the night or morning.

I'd have to agree, you may see some interesting things at night that you wouldn't see during the day!

I agree with Ewker. In addition to his sage advice, The thought of stepping from my hammock into a known urinal doesn't appeal to me, at all.
