When I asked for Reflectex at a Home Depot (here in Ontario, Canada), nobody knew what I was talking about, but when I asked for thermal duct insulation, I was escorted to the heating/ventilation department, and there it was in big and small rolls, along with the aluminum tape that's used with it.

When go to buy some, ask for thermal ducting insulation or ask them to take you to the department where they sell materials for heating and cooling.

    Hope this helps,
    - Martin

Here in our area we find it at Lowe's, the Home Depot hides it if they have it.

I found it on my own in the store. None of the folks that work there knew where it was because they had never heard of it. I took the folks to it after I found it and conducted some impromptu training...free of charge.

Bottom line, look around before you arrive at the ultimate conclusion that they don't carry it. The cool thing is that it is easy to see because it comes in bug roles, so it isn't quite as bad as looking for a needle in a haystack.

I'd go back and look around before I drove 45 miles.

Homedepot and Lowes both carry a foam pad that is about 1/16-3/32 thick used as an underlayment under laminate and clicklock floors that goes for about $.25sf - $.45sf but I believe they sell it in big 100sf rolls.

I even had them do a search for reflectix in their computer and the only place that had it was about 45 min away. Oh well though. Maybe ill roam home depot again like I always do and see if I can find it. I do know that it's usually located in the heating and duct work area. So hopefully that store has it.

I have some of this stuff left, it's not very durable, but it works as a anti-CBS pad. It's really thin, and IMHO not suitable as a DL pad, it just doesn't offer enough insulation, but is a vapor barrier...
