    Looks good.

Well, you could save a pound by dropping $300 on a zPacks product. Or save $300 by eating less and drop the weight off of the body instead.

It is mostly nitpicking at the point you are at. Although you could likely get below 10 pounds for around (if not less than) $50.

    • Leave extra clothing at home
    • Switch to Petzl e+LITE
    • Switch to the SAK (Swiss Army Knife) small classic
    • Replace the extra long strap and biner with an amsteel dogbone extension instead

Those few things alone would get you almost 2 pounds. You can find both the Petzl e+LITE (around $25) and the SAK Small Classic (about $15) online.

You could save a good chunk of weight with a lighter pack, that kit will fit in a much smaller pack. It's very close to what I'm carrying and I use a ULA Ohm, that would save you 10oz.

Only carry one set of tree straps, swap one of your short tree straps for a long strap and ditch the biners, save a few oz's or so.

You only need a few Ground Hog stakes 4, the rest can be ti shepherds hooks or I use half length gutter spikes (7gms)

    Definately ditch the shovel.

A mini swiss army knife would get you an few ounces.

I account weight for a few other items; maps, Dr. Bonners, etc., a luxuary item. Keep at it you're doing great.

I made a few changes with what I have now.

    BackPack / Storage:
Golite Jam 70L, trash compactor bag liner - 34.20oz -- Jam50L with liner is 30.5oz

    3.7oz savings

    Shelter / Sleep:
Tree Straps and Biners - 3.50oz -- remove biners, add toggles - 1.9oz

    1.6oz savings

10 MSR ground hog stakes in a cuben fiber pouch - 3.90oz -- use chopsticks for hammock and tarp door stakes, so 4 groundhogs and 6 chopsticks - 2.8

    1.1oz savings

    Toiletries:
Poop Pack folding shovel, TP, wet wipes, sanitizer - 7.80oz -- removed shovel - 3.2oz

    4.6oz savings

    Tools / Etc.:
Longer tree strap and Extra biner - 5.60oz - smaller extra strap, lighter biner - 1.8oz

    3.8oz savings

    total savings = 14.8oz

The Granite Gear Virga is 52l, only 19 oz. can be had for less than $100 and is sturdier than many packs that weigh 3 times as much. I carry lighter quilts and supplement with poly-pro long underwear and a UL down "sweater". Those along with a mylar space get me down to the upper 30's.
