    Why haven't we tried crisco?

    Who's going to be the first to take a double layer hammock and stick some shorting in-between as insulation?

    Well.. I don't know about you guys, but I tend to maintain a certain level of built-in insulation like that. Very effective, in fact..

    Yah, I would think that internal Crisco would be the better way to go on this. Ha!

    I don't know. Crisco is a vegetable shortening. I think butter or lard would be better. Less processed.

    be it lard or crisco at least it is dual purpose for cooking in the 14" iron cook pan.
