I used a tent pole from my Eureka Apex 2XTA tent. They have the stud-type ends. I don't think the ends matter as much as how the pole sections connect to each other. (internal/external)

For a no sew version check out what I've been using.
It's a double pole mod to accommodate WBRR spreader bars but you can use the same concept and throw 2 Grip Clips at the center of the tarp and have it be a single pole mod.
