Little nap in the backyard to test my gear last week.
    -2 C (28 F), snowy and windy.

A Ticket to the moon hammock double, a PLUQ double layer with a 1.5 mm foam layer inside and a -15 C (5 F ) rated Carinthia sleeping bag.
    It was cosy and warm.

I have to test it during a whole night though, and add a foam pad under my feet

I made the no sew version of the PLUQ and used it during the last fall season, I put a piece of reflectix in between the layers and it worked great. I have also used it as a blanket before, it is quite warm.

    Thats my 2 cents YMMV

I hung mine full length under my hammock (paracord on the corners, ran through the biner at the end of my hammock) and this snugged up nicely to the bottom of the hammock. Made a noticeable difference keeping me warmer. I am sure if I layered another blanket, coat, whatever else between the hammock and liner, it would be even better.

I might even use it *gasp* ...as a liner for my poncho!!

    PLUQ's! What's the big deal?

I've yet to use my no-sew with the added layer of insulbrite, but without added insulation I have taken it down to the low 40s and Had a little bit of a draft. i had it set up like the illustration then, but it wasnt right. Because of missing ties, mine is set up a little differently now. Instead of folding in half, I laid it out and folded the two sides to the center. I then poked holes in the new corners I created, and attached shock cord. I still have shock cord in the channels at the head and foot end to cinch it up.

This past weekend I took it on a trip where I expected the overnight lows to be at around 60, so I took out the insulbrite layer. It ended up being in the high 40s, and I was still warm enough, even though I didn't cinch the foot end, and was too lazy to drop my tarp out of porch mode to block the wind.

Pluqs don't stuff good. On the carpet in my house I can roll that thing up tight. Harder to do in a hammock, and I don't want to put it all over the ground.
