do the 1.1 and 1.7 fabric feel different?

i'm curious on how the 1.1 and 1.7 feel. in a thread over in the wilderness logics section it came up that the 1.1 of the lite owl was softer than the 1.5 of the night owl. so it got me wondering on the differences in material that the blackbird xlc.

my current hammock the fabric is very slick and i don't like the feel of it.

I'm interested in the difference also. The warbonnet website says that at my 175 weight, 1.7 won't make a difference but will it be any firmer, flatter laying than 1.1?

I just sold a 1.0 WBBB, have a 1.7 single WBBB , lite owl 1.1 double, and a yukon outfitters hammock. The 1.7 WBBB is similar in weight and feel to the yukon but the WBBB is smoother. The 1.1 is soft and smooth. I think the yukon is pretty comfy. It's similar to the ENO but a lighter fabric.

It should be, it is a stronger fabric so it shouldn't stretch as much as 1.1.

i also have a eno doublenest. i think the eno is softer than the yukon, but being 6'4" i am a lot more comfortable in the yukon because it is a longer hammock.

i'm currently torn between getting the blackbird and the lite owl.

Well the Lite owl is my 1st choice for comfort. The WBBB is for buggy weather and has the shelf. I am cosidering a bugnet supplement to the Lite Owl then it will be my go to for all seasons.

In general, in my DIY stuff, I really like the feel of 1.1 better than 1.9... think thread count in sheets. . . . Lighter fabric has more, smaller threads.

its buggy 9 months out of the year down here in mississippi. i already have an eno bug net. it fits over my yukon hammock with maybe 2" to spare on length and more than enough room for an underquilt. i'm curious how well it would do on the lite owl. if i got the WBBB i was gonna sell the bug net to my buddy that i just got into hammocks, luckily he hasn't needed a bug net yet.

i kinda feel bad getting swayed away from the blackbird in the warbonnet section, but i've already got the superfly so i don't feel too bad.

edit: i refreshed the page right before posting this and no one had responded since HamMike. JohnSawyer must have posted in that 2 second time period between my refresh and hitting post
