Found some $1/yard at Wally World but it did not say what it was. Something like this material is of unknown origin. Looked to be some type of nylon that is on my Hennessey. Was thinking of making a hammock but it was only 45" wide.
Found what I believe to be silnylon at walmart couple days ago. Cant blow air through the fabric. Doesn't stretch and has an almost rubbery coating to it. Not ripstop but I believe its at least water resistant if not proof... Woot!
It's not the glide in the ride, it's the swing in the sling...
Tain't sil. Most likely PU coated. Sil is slippery as a soapy wet naked baby and not rubbery. Polyurethane Coated is rubbery on the one coated side. It will be waterproof until the coating dries out and cracks off. But that will be several years most likely. It would be a heavy bugger too.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.
