    Sounds like fun! Come to think of it, 9/10 of my backpacking trips start around 10PM. Can't beat a nice quiet hike, setting up in the dark, then waking up with some coffee to see how nice of a spot you picked in the dark!

    Weird time is right...20 years of eves or mids...its like an other world. The trail head is actually closer to my house the 30 mins was from work.

    It really is a great place and yes one wrong step and you braking bones or in the river or both. No one will hear your calls for help at 1am.
