    My Blackbird, arrived!!!!!!

Brandon...kudos...now I see first hand what everyone has been saying...
    What a hammock!!!!
This is one pretty piece of work..just went out and put it up in the snow in my backyard to try it once... sri no pics ...before Mt.Rogers this weekend
It has the room I am looking for and the pad works better in the BB than my HH..
I will give a report once we return from Mt. Rogers..

There will be multiple BB hangers at Mt Rogers (skskinner, FishinFinn, myself, headchange4u, others I'm sure)...we will help if you need any

Is the Kelty 9' on the diagonal or side?
Your BB starts off being 10' long...ends up shorter due to gathering the ends, hemming, etc.
Assuming you have the webbing/triangle ring option, measure the length of your BB from ring to ring along the the ridgeline to get a max length. Then measure your tarp along the ridgeline to make sure you have coverage. (you could hang everything back up outside and measure more accurately)
Since there is a slight possiblility of precipitation this weekend, I won't want to see you get wet.
If your tarp coverage is short, I'm sure someone will lend you a bigger tarp. Ask away! (I would but I only have 1 big tarp)

Nevermind - I looked up the Kelty Noah 9...9' on the side. So, about 14' ridgeline...you should be good to go!

    I sure hope so
But I believe if I hang sides steep pitch close to BB and use spare line to
close in the ends I should be fine....I have a spare tarp smaller an
will throw it in pack just in case
Thanx for input...I will reevaluate my tarp situation after MT. Rogers
and get Brandons Superfly to be safe..

good tho I need to get a heavy duty compression sack...it is 3 layers
of climashield instead of 2it will be carried outside my pack..so I reckon it will be my extreme cold quilt...I will have to reevaluate my setup and have a couple
quilts..for the different trip conditions..so like you and John...my
