If The Princess is going to make it then we can slackpack on the hike AND have nice cold beer when we arrive! Best of both worlds!
I will even pitch in my 120 quart cooler for the transport of said beverages if needed.
My phone works pretty well on the entire trail. With The Princess we will not need to post vehicles at all the trailheads either; Wildman can just shuttle from the bail out point to the next camp. On the final day he can shuttle to the vehicle if needed. That makes posting vehicles easier.
Same thing for those meeting us mid-hike; just call and see where we are to park the vehicle and meet the group.

Last time I said "I want to try and make this" I jinxed my self. If I say I'm going for it, my boss will call and I'll have to be in Florida at the end of the week(probably not a bad thing). So I'm not going say that I'm going, but I've been lurking, and all this mention of cookies and beer have peaked my interest.
Beeeeeeeeer Coooooooooon!
Also if I make it my car will be available for shuttles I drive a minivan. Lots of seats
I'll see you guys a week from tomorrow, somewhere on the trail. I won't be carrying beer, but I will have whiskey. If you like that sort of thing
