Getting lost is not a waste of time.

as I cannot get away. I'll be at the MAHHA gathering if any others from OH are there.

Cold. Very cold.
Good time with good peeps. Nothing like a brisk dance in the creek to wake you up in the morning. When it's 20odd degrees.
Stopped by that diner in Butler. I'm never NOT eating when I go past there. Homemade corn-beef hash, best poached egg I've ever had, REAL grits and biscuits. Unreal. "Legit"
I got a later-than-planned start and didn't make it to site 3 until about 1:30. EVERYONE HAD ALREADY GONE except Steve/KC8QVO, who was kind enough to give me a thorough going-over of his WBBB. Would have liked to have seen a Ridge Runner also.
At Brandon's suggestion, maybe I'll just order one of each from Warbonnet and return the one I decide against.
Thanks, again, Steve!
Had a great night out with familiar faces and a few new ones.
Great to meet KC8QVO and Slo's friend Jeremy and of course great to share a bottle or two around the fire with the usual suspects.
My gear took great care of me.
Had the best night sleep ever in my WBRR.
Superfly with pole mods did great.
Catch you guys for next Month's hang.

I enjoyed the trip. I didn't know what all I was in for but it was a good time. The older guy walking around with his dog is Larry. He can sure talk, and talk, and talk. Friendly guy, but when you're trying to get away its kind of a drag.
Temps last night weren't as cold. I moved my hammock right next to the fire pit around 6-7:00. Fired up my radio and made a few contacts - talked to a friend of mine back home for about 45 minutes. That was fun. The solar panel did a great job keeping my radio going and phones charged. I had to move the panel quite a bit to keep it in as much sun light as I could, but it worked great.
Here are a couple pictures I took around 2:00 yesterday.

Work went later than expected . I am unfamiliar with mohican forest so no go after dark. I will try to make it next time.
Keep your Feet in the dust and your head out of the sand
Glad you guys had a good time. KC8QVO, that is funny that you packed in your Ham Radio to chit chat. I look forward to meeting some of the new faces we have here, sometime real soon.
We didn't make it to our spot as planned due to both boys being sick. I can't believe I never made it to any winter hangs this past winter.
