    JCP Two-Layer Yeti Clone

Just finished my newest Yeti clone. I love my Warbirds and really like how the Yetis fit.

This is a double layer underquilt and I plan to try it out tonight. The weather man says it should get down to 28 degrees. Great testing weather!

As you can see from the pics, one layer is made up of jacket panels with the zipper pockets removed and sewn over. The other layer is made up of two back panels and six side panels (see the pic with blue, green and black remnants...that will be my next project...a single-layer Yeti Clone...).

One advantage of sandwiching the two layers together is the ability to hide/protect the seams.

The draft collars are detached coat collars. The length ended up being perfect for the project.

It weighs in at 17.5 oz/484 grams (in the stuff sack) before I trim the 20' of 1/8" shock cord after final fitting is complete.

Definitely has been a fun project!

Roger that! No stealth camping for this bad boy without a camo cover. If I ever get lost I figure I can use it to flag down rescue aircraft...

    That looks really cool.

And the color blocks fit the "quilt" concept to a "T"!

That is pretty awesome! I am finishing mine up probably tomorrow and am doing something similar with the 2 layers. I just split the sleeves and used the 4 of them to make a 2nd layer to fit 3/4. I have 2 more jackets I am using for a top quilt and will probably take 2 of the sleeves as part of it also.

If you have the ability to take pics of how you put the sleeves together please post them. I have a bunch of sleeves and I'm trying to figure out the best way to use them.

Same here. I was considering sewing some sleeves together without ripping them apart, but am not sure the size of coverage that'd give me.

Dude I love this idea of a collage of sorts for a quilt. Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing.

That's fantastic. Like the progressive pics. It even has draft collars!
