+1 on Henry Coe, Big Sur, Yosemite.

I was at the BPL Henry Coe event and the site were very hammock friendly.

The hike was on a dirt road and it was all down-hill on the way there.

I think Spring time is the best time, no crowd, no dust, everything is green, etc..

Do we have a date set yet? How about March 16 weekend to coincide with the Southern hang.

For the BPL gathering, the participants PayPal the group organizer $15/person before the event to cover cost of campsite reservation. One person had water haul in, the other brought in firewood.

We also had geocaching activity for the kids on Saturday.

This year was their 5th annual event and it was well organized.

Campsite 4 is reserved for March 16th. My initial plans were to have it on april 12 and 13th. The site is available for those dates. I'm still open to change the date though.
    Cost is $75/night
A couple of restrictions that I saw were:

    No dogs at group sites
No potable water available at the group campground
Fires are ok when permitted but no wood gathering(needs to be packed in)
1 supply vehicle allowed to drive in to haul supplies and park at the site(only 1 trip is permitted per stay)

sorry, I should have worded that differently. I should have said that the campsite is unavailable on the 16th

anyone interested in this hang check out the poll

I figured out how to post a poll( it was pretty easy actually). So Here's my short list of spots that aren't too far removed from the Sacramento valley or the bay area.
Some details about these locations have been discussed further up in this thread.
You can vote for multiple choices, so maybe put your second choice as well.

I'd love to join in at any of the sites mentioned, and voted for some of the best sounding sites for bringing my kids and I. Weekends of 16 Mar and 14 Apr are both booked for me, though, so I probably won't wind up making it. Subscribing to the thread to see what actually develops, and we'll come if we can.

    No Dogs!

I can understand why a lot of places don't allow dogs. However, my girl is with me 24/7.

E.A.Y. do you remember what the cost of the site was at Ridge at Boggs?

I looked up an old thread.

Ridge campsite was $25 / night last time we were there.
