BIAS Buginator vs WL Noseeum Bug Net

I know that both Butt in a Sling and Wilderness Logics make great gear. What I'm wondering is if anyone has any experience with either of these bug nets. I was planning to get the BIAS Buginator, but I'm considering the WL simply because I am buying a Tadpole tarp from them soon.

Any reason one is better than the other? If I go with the Buginator, I will get the nano version, which shaves a little weight. I'd love to get some feedback from those with first hand experience.

I have both. Tough to say which I like better. The Bias does not full enclose you. It's open at the bottom and has a hole that exposes the bottom of your hmmock\underquilt. The WL has a zipper and is heavier.

I tend to get a better lay with the Bias. It interferes less with what the hammock does as I move around. I also use 11' hammocks and the WL seems a little tight. I will say that last bug season on a particular bad mosquito day I got a few Mosquitos in the Bias net after I was already inside. Not sure how they got in but there were so many Mosquitos that I think they were waiting right where the opening was and as I adjusted positions a small gap must have opened up allowing a few to get in. Not a big deal as I could dispatch those few pretty quickly. I never had any issue with the WL like that.

I think you will be fine with either one. Good luck and let us know which one you end up with.

Thanks Sidewinder, this is exactly what kind of info I was looking for. I think I will be going with the BIAS Nano Buginator.

I just placed my order for a Nano Buginator! Also, while I was poking around on the site I really liked the looks of the Weight Weenie Micro, so I bought one of those with a knotty mod and Whoopie Hooks. Now I'll have to wait a little longer to get my Wilderness Logics Tadpole tarp, but this way I'll save on shipping. There's always more gear to buy.

I called Shane from Butt In A Sling and he was very helpful. I peppered him with all sorts of questions about the Buginator and the WWM and he didn't mind. He's like Stormcrow with a southern drawl. I highly recommend BIAS to anyone considering their gear.

Now I wait for the package to come in the mail...
