    Under Quilt Stuff Sack Dimensions

I was hoping you all could shed some light on dimensions for under quilts (3/4) both down, and synthetic. I appreciate they all will vary depending on myriad of reason.. but really? Not a single website I have found that sells them lists that information. Its the most basic info after weight and price that I can think of.. and none have it. I am conscious of size as I have a smaller 50l pack.

If anyone has the dimensions for hammock Gears 20 degree Phoenix, Enlightened Equipment 20 degree Prodigy, and Arrowhead equipments Jarbidge river, or really any under quilt.. that would be most appreciated!

I stuff my quilt into a pillow case, compress it and then measure it.
Then I make my stuff sack. You're right, too many variables.

Possibly I am being misunderstood. I do not have a under quilt yet.. part of the difficulty in deciding which one to buy is due to the fact I cant find dimensions of when they are in a stuff sack.

So stuffing an under quilt into a pillowcase and measuring after compression dosnt help me, answer my question, Or lead me any nearer to a simple _x_ measure.

    Under Quilt Stuff Sack Dimensions

I am at the office so I can't measure at the moment, but I would guesstimate my Phoenix in its stuff sack is 12" long by 6" diameter.
...I think. Better wait for actual measurements.

I have to agree with the OP. Especially when comparing Down vs Synthetic. I understand down compresses smaller but when you have neither its hard to visualize.

When looking at basically any commercial site for outdoor gear, one generally can find the packing size as well as weight.

My Jarbidge fits pretty easily into a small Sea to Summit Ultra-sil stuff sack. According to the STS website, that sack is 6 1/2 inches by 13 inches, and is 6.5 liters. When I stuff it in there, there are a couple of inches left at the top. When I lean on it, I can get it down to about 9 inches. I think if you put it in a compression sack (for hiking only, not storage), you could get it down to 6 1/2 wide by about 8 high. Hope this helps.

thanks for the replies! thats exactly what I needed.

I am really liking the look of enlightened equipment quilts. both the down, and synthetic version. Does anyone have some experience with those quilts? I love the karo step design.. dosnt look like your hammock is a package of sausages.
