Sorry that isn't much of a help. BUT, I have seen similar toys since this one was bought all those years ago.
Sure, Doctari - you stick with that story. I'll bet you lifted it off a wheelchair on one of your runs.

    On flag sticks:

I had an idea last night as I was daydreaming about hammocks in class - why not make a flagpole out of replacement tent poles? It would be collapsible for transporting, and extendable to whatever height you wanted to make it. A set of replacement tent poles at the local outdoor store here is about $6. A little tape or epoxy around the ends of the poles where the ferrules connect to make them a little harder to pull apart, a couple of small holes drilled on one end of a pole for the flag "ties" or connectors, and there you go!

To take it even farther, you could dual-purpose the flag pole while at camp to a tarp end-extender, to open up the ends of your tarp without guylines or gripclips, or as an internal ridge support to open up a little head room inside the tarp. Or add removable guides, and use it as a "backpacker fishing pole."

I hate classes - I think about everything except what I'm supposed to be thinking about.

Ahem..... I think the next step for you boys is a clubhouse.

Instead of building lumber in a tree though, just find a few good trees to hang all the hammocks and a sign that says "No Girls Allowed".

....Wait a sec...... Didn't we just do that at Mt. Rogers??

Personally, I thought all girls were allowed (I even invited one )

What are you talking about, Jen? Where did you get the impression / who ever gave you the impression that there were "No Girls Allowed"? They will be beaten severely!

I agree. I don't want to belong to any club were girls aren't allowed.

Women are the cheese in my cheese cake, or the pepper on my tuna. Tastes OK without them, but makes a whole lotta difference when you mix them in. I'd hate to be in a club with nothing but a bunch of dudes! Women keep us honest and usually on our best behaviour.

LOL - Tell your wives that! They can be assured I am watching you all for their peace of mind!
