I hope these help move some of you what are setting on the fence to come on out to the hang. Gabe, Brandon, Mark and I went to Crescent Valley II this weekend to mark the trail. Basically all you need to remember is Take the Sycamore Loop going east about 5 minutes from the car. At about 20 minutes from the car you will start switchbacks. 20 minutes later you will get to the #2 sign on the Sycamore Trail Loop. At this sign you should turn North. I placed red and white Refective Tape on trees about 6 feet off the ground. You wll see the first one as soon as you turn North into the wide hollow with the stream coming out of it.
Follow the stream North for 10 to 20 minutes and you will come to the clearing, Crescent Valley II.
I suggest you don't ware anything that the green briars can damage like a down jacket or Dry Ducks. Tuck this stuff inside your pack to traverse the scrubby woods that follows the creek to the clearing.
Gabe and Brandon built a terrific fire enclose. You cannot call this a fire ring as you can see by the pictures. It is quote elaborate and really puts out the heat. Logs 7 feet long will fit inside the pit and is easy to feed.
It will be good to see you all on the 12th.

Check out this fire pit. We figure it will still have hot coals in it on the 12th.

The one picture looks like a bed of coals meant to walk over! Scared!
On a separate note, sorry to see your name was not on the list Mule. LOL
So we park at the firetower like for the Hollerween hang? Just makin sure as I get confoosed sometimes.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
