I am not going down until Friday now, since there is a 100% chance of rain until 11pm on Thursday night. Darn, I was wanting to get out of here first thing in the morning. *%^^$#

Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.
Aww,come on mule. Where's your adventurous side?
You will get the best spot to hang up.
See you Friday afternoon.

Don't blame him. That fire trail sort of turns into a waterway in a downpour.
Should be good by morning if the forcast is anywhere close. Have a good Hang!

While I JUST got my WBBB today and took it out to Morgan/Monroe SF between shifts and want to come this weekend, and planned on it I wont be able to. Someone quit at work and I decided to pick up the shifts to garner more $ to buy the next purchase of gear. Probably an UQ. So instead of meeting new people and hanging in my new hammock I will be slinging drinks at the local seafood joint in BTown. Between Oladipo and Zeller leaving IU and going to the NBA and now not able to go to my first Hoosier Hang... This week could have been better...
I am really torn about this. I want very badly to go in the morning rain or shine. I may yet.

Your so right about the trail turning into a waterway,,have hiked it in the rain before. And they say we can get as much as 2-3 inches in spots with this front coming in tonite. It will be really nice when it passes thru tho..can't wait for Friday myself.
IuSnooze,,,,there will be more hangs in the coming months,,so get ready while you can. And I really wouldn't worry about the coach and team of IU with the gang they have coming for next year..they will be awesome!

Well, rain or shine, I took the time off to go, so I'll be there later in the day after stopping off at Rusted Moon and the Army/Navy Store for some paracord. Probably closer to 4. I love a good rainstorm!
I like big hammocks - I cannot like.
I am now planning to arrive at the fire tower around noon on Friday. I created a map, and if anyone would like a GPX file send me a message.

Excellent! Looks like Mule's copy we used when navigating, but compressed. Look forward to catching up with you and finding some roots to boil!
