So, it's almost 1am at the parking lot. Very long story cut short, got lost trying to return in the dark to camp from the parking lot. Batteries on my petz head lamp barely got me back rain doesn't seem asto the car. Drying wet clothes and such. No service down in the valley and only a little bar at the car.
As for the weather, no and off rain. I don't think it's as bad as last year. And doesn't seem as cold, but I've been hiking not laying the hammock.
Note, the alt parking lot is a shorter hike (maybe 10-15 min) once you see the trail, but slick hill, you kind of have to wander to the left from the alt parking lot to not over shoot the turn off.
Looks like it's car seat camping til the morning.
I like big hammocks - I cannot like.
Whew, sounds like an adventure, Trout! I know what it's like car-seat camping and it's no fun.... I hope you got dried out and I'll see you this afternoon.
BTW the kids say "Hi."

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
Krugd is on his way to my place, then we're hitting the road. Goal is to be there between 1500 and 1600. HomeMadeHiker: I'll give you a call when we get to Seymour, then try again later IF I can find a signal....
Headin' to the woods! WooHoo!!!!!

Well, I Made great time heading south and would have made the trailhead by noon.
However, half way down I got call from an engineerg firm requesting a short notice interview... SURPRISE! I arranged it be over the phone, so now I'm in Bloomington proper getting some lunch and waiting not so patiently until 130 for the Interview. Guess they didn't get the memo about HH4, but this could be a great opportunity. Anywho looks like I should be arriving around 1500 as well.
See everybody soon.
Directionally challenged...comicly so.
Not all who wonder are lost...But I'm probably just lost.
Had a great time this weekend, really nice to see old friends and share a few jokes ! Thought it was the best location we have had yet !
Great hang, thanks everybody. Had a great time, really enjoyed the camaraderie and all the gear talk. Also really enjoyed the hang site. Thanks again to the fire ring makers, site scouters, and gourmet coal cookers. Viva la HH!

Thanks to everyone who came or even tried to come to the Hang this year. It was so good to see every one of you. I am actually beginning to remember SOME of your names, too. Thanks for your patience in that regard. You all have made the hang what it is and I have the best of memories for all of them. This year was especially fun in many ways. We saw the Devil's Triangle, and shared many other laughs. HomeMadeHiker made many gifts to share at the exchange, and the way it was done this year was really fun. Thanks to those who cut wood and those that kept the fire going and those that danced around the fire with Trangular Thingies on. Ha. I slept better each of the three nights than I have in I don't know when.
I appreciate each and everyone of you for coming to the hang and making this the best year ever.
