    Materials are in

I ordered a bunch of material to feed my addiction. Speer 900f down, sil, some 1.1 and 1.9 rip stop. I got a bunch of webbing and some stormproof 5 oz per yard rip stop for my new bridgeskin. I got all kinds of plastic hardware. Some I just ordered and some I got in OWF's grabbags. The next time you order from OWF get a ultralighters grabbag. It has small pieces of sil, some elastic velcro and a great assortment of plastic stuff that I haven't figure out what it does yet. I also got a fleece grabbag to make some of Griz's wrist warmers since I have given up growing fur like he has on his arms. There is 1" camo webbing and I finally found where Brandon gets those cool tri-rings. I also got a zipper so I can either mod my HH or clone a BB.

I am just giddy with excitement. Let the games begin. I am going to need to expand the gear room after this winter. I plan to remake my coffin quilt, make a new summer quilt, remake the bridgesin only lighter, a BB clone (it would be cool to be the first), stuff sacks and a new purple rain kilt for Mrs Dutch. This is going to be a good year, a good year indeed. I have made changes in my life to work on my priorities. I vowed off TV, quit drinking beer, soda, eating fatty foods, going to resturaunts, and I am cutting back on my hours at work. I sleep more, spend more time with the family, I am training for my 6th marathon, and now quality time with my sewing machine. Oh and I plan on going hiking this year sometime. Life is good.
    Peace Dutch

That's a great looking pile of gear-to-be, Dutch! We look forward to your projects.

I was going to do the Rock and Roll marathon in VA Beach, but there is a local one two weeks later called the Garden spot marathon in early April and it is my counties first plus it will be cool to be in a very small marathon. I have run large ones like Philly and the energy of 10,000 people running is great, but it would be nice not to have 4000 people kick you butt. I'm hoping to be able to keep up my fitness this year so I can run 3 or 4 marathons.

Good deal. I've run a few marathons. I ran the Myrtle Beach marathon, Richmond marathon, also the Marine Corps Marathon... that was really big, and the crowd support was Awesome.

I'd like to get back to running soon. I'd like to aim for some nearby 1/2 marathons in November and December.

    Good luck with your training!

I do think you're throwing the baby out with the bathwater regarding the beer.
