    Hello Again from CA

    Hello All,

This is not my first introduction I must admit. I got interested in hammock camping a few years ago and found this wonderful forum through watching Shug's videos on youtube. Over the last couple of years my life has gone in lots of different directions, some for better, some for worse, but now I've come back to the forum with a renewed interest in hammocking.

I now live in California, but I soon will return to my native Catskill Mountains in NY, which is something I'm looking forward to not only because I miss the Northeast, but also because my current situation here allows me much less time to be outside than I'm used to.

I won't be able to do much with hammocking until I'm back in the east, but I thought it would be fun to get back into the forum to give me something to tide me over till I go back to the other coast.

Thank you all for such a great forum, and I'll see you around.

    ~Oliver

Thanks for the welcome Len, I spent my very young life in NC, mostly in Greensboro. Still have some family there.

Glad to here some love for the Catskills.

Welcome back... Your not going to miss the west coast. The east coast has everything the west coast has, just smaller scale. They have the Rockies, we have Appalachians, they have the redwood forest, we have 1 old tree, the angel oak in South Carolina... West coast has Grand Canyon, we have little Grand Canyon (pine creek gorge in pa). So come on back, small attractions here just leaves more room for hanging.
Enjoy life's journey, but leave no tracks...

Thanks Hototo, as much as I like the west coast, I think the east coast might be my home, for the next part of my life anyway.
