midle tenn winter hangot trip report

it was a great crowd of people,great food and saturday night low temp was 14 degrees so it was cold.i will be posting pictures later this evening and a head/hammock count and more info right now i am taking a shower and a nap 1st.it was great to see all the regulars and lots of new faces as wellneo

we had a great time as well. I would go as far to say this was probably the most enjoyable one for me(other than a hammock being completely destroyed).

I also want to let you guys know what a bad influence you are lol......when I got home I ordered a down jacket on clearance at REI and some of the foot boots that a couple of you had.

If the Memphis area guys don't mind pm me your name and I'll add you guys on FB so maybe we can hook up some.....in case anyone is interested.

Every hang is very informational for me. This particular hang I learned that I needed to invest in some down items(jacket/booties) and get more organized for my set ups. I am REALLY interested in trying to do some backpacking and hope to maybe get together with some of the locals to do some. The WBRR is unquestionably the best laying/fitting hammock for me.

I had a great time as well. Thanks Neo for organizing this, this makes my second hang and I'm getting hooked! It did get a little colder than I had anticipated!

it was a great hangout except that on the 1st day my claytor jungle hammock i have used for 7 years got stolen plus my 20 degree phoniex under quilt and my 20 burrow got stolen.i used my sons stuff thursday night because he was not coming down till friday night.ewker was kind enough to let me borrow a quilt set.leeinmemphis had a bridge hammock to self destruct.the food was great and lots of it though.i cant wait for the may hangout it will be much warmer lol.we had a great turnout considering the weather lolneo

On this list you removed me, and I they may be there but I didn't see TNcamper, and Faith who is not on the forum but has now been to 3 hangs. I signed her on as a friend and she will probably join soon.

It was great to see familiar faces and get to know them better and meet new people and learn a little about them. Besides the ones on this list there was TNcamper/Shane and Faith who has been to 3 hangs. I had told several friends and acquaintances about the the hang so I just said a friend was coming and didn't mention her name or anyone elses'. Lee's son is Wil (or Will) and I really enjoy his company. I think he is a delightful and neat young person. A dog was there too. lol I have to learn his name. He was a trooper braving the cold.

Other than the loss of your gear it was a great hang. Neo do you know how many states or areas were represented this time? Has anyone ever thought of a sign in sheet with peoples handles and at least first names and, Neo, you wouldn't have to try to remember?

The food was fabulous. Has anyone ever thought about just cooking enough food for 4-6 people? We always have so much left over and it is so good and it's a shame to waste; actually the food was exceptional this year. I think I'm in a thinking mode this morning. Just sayin, some things to think about . . .
