So many places worth seeing. Sierras, Uintas, GC, Tetons, Yellowstone, Arches, Zion, etc...
My favorite has got to be the Redwoods along the NorCal coast. I can get lost in the mountains or stick my toes in the sand, on a beach that I have to myself.

The highlands of Scotland for me, or Yosemite where I honeymooned was quite special.

Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area in the northwest corner of SC is my most frequent and favorite location. Though, I also enjoy hiking, camping, and kayaking in the Congaree National Park near Columbia, SC.

My forum name is Fish<><; I'm in the navy; and I hate sleeping on the ground. If I didn't need ground to walk on or measure resistance to, I think I could happily give it up.

    Favorite Place to Backpack

I'm partial to the places in my "back yard." Fortunate that they are places like the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness, Yellowstone and Grand Teton.

The Kenai Peninsula in Alaska is my favorite place to vacation, but I am yet to hike or backpack there. Maybe this summer.
