    Bugnet

I'm in the market for a bugnet - DIY or otherwise - that will fit a giant 11' hammock. I've tried the TED net and it didn't suit my needs. DIY Fronkey styles would be good for DIY options. Also, I've heard the BIAS might work.

I make ours to fit our 11 footers. We've had a run on them lately. I had several stocked up, and am now down to one Nano Buginator.(If material gets here tomorrow, my weekend is planned)
    It'll be alright Friday!

What makes the hammock giant? I have BIAS Buginators and they work fine with my 11 ft. hammocks. However, my hammocks are 60" wide. If you've got some kinda crazy width on that hammock you might have issues putting pressure on the bugnet, especially at the openings for the suspension to slip through.

When I say giant: 11' long x 90" wide. Not sure of the ridgeline length 'cause I'm constantly adjusting it.

That said, would a Buginator fit something like that? 11' is one thing, but I worry about the width being a factor.

I think you've got some valid concerns about whether a regular Buginator would work. You might have a tendency in a 90" hammock to lay at a severe diagonal, thereby putting strain on those suspension openings.

Of course, increasing the height of the bugnet (ridgeline to ground) would alleviate those concerns, but you might end up with the bugnet in the dirt till it was cinched up.

    Re: Bugnet

Those are cheaper than the $15 army bugnet I bought from my local store. I'm planning to mod mine for my hammock. If shipping isn't bad, I'd say try it.

how fine is the mesh on the one you bought from your local surplus store?
