hammock tied one end to the car? pics?

does anyone have any pics of hanging their hammock from their car on one end and a pair of 2x4s set up in an upside down "V" on the other? I'm getting ready to do a trip over to Big Bend, Texas and I'm betting that there's no good places to hang from out there, at least where I'll be camped anyway (with some other bikers). note: I'm trailering down my street legal dirt bike.

I have a jeep grand cherokee and plan on running a strap over the car and under the wheel. I'll use the inverted v on the other, and tying the guy line down to the ground to whatever I can find, picnic bench, etc , even under the tire of another vehicle. I spend all summer camped in my eno but always had something to tie to, this trip will be a bit different. I worst comes to worst I can always sleep inside the jeep ......

I've been mulling over a couple of ideas for hanging two hammocks between my truck and a 13' Scamp trailer.

My avatar is mh Hammock tied to my wrangler. Your GC have a rack. Your gona have to tie high enough your but wont drag.

Do your ramps hinge off your trailer. My ramps point up when in the upright position. I ran a 2x4 through the ramps to get some height and then tied to my rack on my 94 Grand Cherokee. My trailer is 12' plus the hitch. The only scary part was if anything broke I was going to fall on the top rail on the front of the trailer. I usually find a buddy I trust and tie on to his jeep. (try to get his keys :-)

I have thought about this several times and even did a test of hangin from the truck to a tree. But it is a lot of force on wherever you are hanging from your truck....
I just linked this thread earlier this morning and you might find it an interesting option.

i'm going thru my library of pics I've saved throughout my researching .....
here's the truck and tree ideas:
though these wouldn't work out for me in places out west like big bend and baja, not many trees!

I'm sure you know living on the Island sand is not the best thing to hold a stake. Have you ever buried a tire to get unstuck on the beach? My winch will not pull a 33” tire out of the sand until I’m right above it.
