    The Hangle

Has anyone used the newest bit of wonderful evil stuff, the Hangle?

If so, what do you think of it and are you using 1 to set both ends or using 2 (one for each end)?

    Re: The Hangle

I just got one actually, but have yet to use it...I just bought one and will use it for each side.

Although if I see one side at 30 degrees I can eye ball the other, ya know.

    There's an App for That.

Another alternative is to download a free app on your iphone called Angle Meter. With it, you can either view the suspension line through cross hairs in the camera view, or set the edge of your phone directly on the suspension line, and it will tell you the angle from horizontal.

    Can't. Resist. The Dutchware.

Just bought a hangle. And, of course while I was there, I had to buy a few ridgeline biners (haven't tried those out yet).

    Beware the Dutchware!

But the angle changes a lot when you get into it from what it is when empty. You need someone to check it once you are laying in the hammock.

You want to set the angle with the hammock unloaded.
