After intense negotiations I am now the owner of a JRB Bear Mtn Bridge UL. "Groundhog" did not want to give it up but I was able to convince him with cash and future labor cost on some DIY projects for him.

I know this has been discussed plenty... but what are any of you using on the ends of the poles to protect the tarp? I am hanging the tarp higher and wider that I usually do and have no issues once in the hammock... I just don't like the proximity of the bars when getting in and out. I don't want one lapse in correct form (of entry or exit) in the middle of the night for a nature call to tear a new hole in my tarp.
I would like some type of bungie connection to a cap of some sort or sewing up some little nylon booties with cloth in them. I am sure there are better ideas out there... Please let me hear them.

I have a bunch of those black foam mats from walmart, that fit together like a puzzle, the one side resembles diamond print. I cut little circles out of one, and ran some shock cord in a loop around the spreader bars, through both ends, like how Acer has shown in some of his videos...
