Question Thoughts and suggestions for a noob?

So after being thoroughly convinced to keep my newbie behind emphatically AWAY from ENO, I'm starting to look at the WB double layer Traveller with the Mamajamba tarp -I like 'em big (and shady). When it rains it's like a vertical river- and the No-see-um travel net for our state birds. With this the Lynx full length under quilt. I like that I can adjust it shorter, or string it full length and hunker down.

I think I'm a bit mismatched, but hey, it's Texas, so is the weather. Well, East Texas. "Winter" can see the low 30's and high 20's (in a blue moon), but averages about 45 for most of the Winter "season" when it actually does get cold. Also I'm 5'10" and 260 lbs. The Traveller is 7' and as I'm near 6', it just seems cramped. Am I off base there?

I want to rig an under-hammock to string under my sleeper for my gear to keep things more readily accessable, and the bug net looks droopy enough to encompass that as well, thoughts?

Plus I have a 35 lb heater named Sydney who will be in the hammock with me.

So what say you, internet? How discombobled am I here?

    A little "discombobled"...yes.

The Traveler is listed as 120" (=10').

The Lynx UQ is only for use with the Ridgerunner bridge hammock and will not work with the Traveler.

Aw, dang >.< It won't work at all? My feet get cold easy and I'd rather like a full length UQ. I really like the BB, but I couldn't live with the attached bug net. Has anyone head of WB making them without the net?

Is there a reason you don't want the integrated bugnet?

If you suffer from chronic cold feet then you are going to want a full length UQ. We have a good number of cottage mfrs here that make just such things. You can get them in Down and Synthetic and in a wide variety of colors as well. You don't have to get everything from a single vendor, although it does tend to make things a bit easier when you can.

Have a look at Hammock Gear's full length UQ for the Traveler. There are other folks that sell UQ's as well. Your not too tall for the traveller.

Well my newbie behind has been pleased with my Eno DN. But WB is nice I was looking them as well.

My first hang got down to 24 degrees (on 2 nights) in Texas Hill Country and I was comfy in the ENO with CCF pad.

I feel like I should add in that if you want to buy right away check BIAS, they are having a sale right now with a single layer hammock for $28.

Think the sale in only good through February, so got to pull the trigger fast on that deal.
