    Not so much because it is double layered and also I have a round cap on the end of the pole, but it would be better if it pushed against the gathered end more.

    The pole im using is galvenized pipe but as you can imagine thats not really UL, anything that can support your weight would work. And yea thats pretty much it, really its just making a small hammock

    neat idea, what if you made a pouch from webbing for the pole to sit in, it would reenforce the end and then you would not have wories about the pole pokeing though( for the bigger people like me)

    Nice chair idea! Using a found branch at camp is great way to cut weight.

    This is how I have it right now but today im going to make the whole seat wider and also instead of gathering up the end where the pole goes im going to run grograin through the end channel and then sew it to make a pocket for the pole like what turtle said. Will post pics to help explain what I mean.
