Trip Report: 3rd Anuual Mt. Rogers Hang Out

I had to leave on Saturday evening as well due to work obligations. Really enjoyed the event! Thanks to all who went way beyond with food. Great group indeed!!!

On Saturday, HnryClay, Compass and me went on a wonderful hike along the ridge to Rhododendron Gap, where Compass hiked through three years ago. HnryClay knows those hills pretty well. He's a great fellow to have along!

Compas, Smee and I got home safely....We had a great hang IMHO.

FTR.... The gear raffle proceeds came to $690.... Grizz's fine Shuggies brought $60.... A check for $750 was sent to Attroll at noon today.... And yes, I did suggest that he fly the Hammock Forum banner on the Whiteblaze rotating banners section for a few months in appreciation of the HF support.

I sure did! Making the pillows now. I have the prototype all done, now just to work out the kinks and then make the real ones. Thanks for bringing that to the hangout with you!

I'm a fan of funky hats! Made mine from $3/yd fleece, scraps of Ed's chocolate brown 1.9 oz rip stop, and a band of stretchy fleece. My head stayed warm all weekend.

That quilt is a fine match with your camo tarp. Looking good and staying warm!
