    Complete DIY setup

OK, so I've been done with everything for almost a month now, just been waiting on the weather to cooperate for pics. It hasn't been dry for more than 24 hours without breaking into more rain or snow, and warming in between, so everything is a swamp around here. I'm relatively certain that if I was to step into my back yard, or the local woods, I'd sink almost to my knees quickly. Anyway, I couldn't wait any longer for the ground to dry up, I had to try my stuff out. I set up my TD stands in the firehouse this evening, and tried everything else on, minus the tarp, because I had nothing to anchor it to. Snapped some pics with my phone, I'll post them when I get home in the morning. Man, this thing is COOOOOOMFY! Can't wait for my first trip!

Do you think that you can convert the entire firehouse to hammocks?

I got a few laughs laying in it at the back of the house. Unfortunately, my bunk room is not large enough to use it in there. After laying in it so long yesterday, I tossed and turned most of the night in my bed. Couldn't get comfortable.

Look, you gotta be careful using that thing on duty. If word gets out that the guys are more comfortable in a piece of cloth than the beds the chief may decide to quit buying beds and start buying sheets instead.
Next thing ya know that'll spread across the country and end up in NFPA 2013. "Standard for bedhall sleeping qtrs"

I can picture it now, rows of ridge poles with hammock hooks every 10 feet. Sounds good to me!

Pay no attention to the big ugly gorilla in the hammock, have to post the obligatory head and foot shots though!

Hennessy hex goes on top, and I have 2 spiral dog tie out/anchors that will go in bottom of each side of TD stand, and line securing stand to them goes in the top rail end caps. Pulled tight with a truckers hitch. I also realized looking at those pics that I never went back and cut the excess threads off my seams. Oops.
