my hook goes straight in my bag... i have the same set up on another tarp, no problems so far... no one else has reported any trouble...

Interesting...I want to hear from you on the logistics from the trail...I think we share a similar ridgeline? I'm gonna change mine, not happy with my tarp ending up in the dirt on take down...heading back to skins...

I ended up adding some short bungee loops... Think oversized hair ties... To use like skins, I will probably end up with skins but the wind was kicking pretty good when I was taking it down and the bungees seem to work well enough...

Very cool, just about to get one myself. A few first questions please.
Does it try to pull your stakes? If it did pull out would it go into a limp pourch mode?

I'm not sure I understand your question... The tarp doesn't try to pull out my stakes any more than any other tarp I have used... Push them in at the correct angle, make sure ground is secure or other wise secure the line in an extra way...

If the stakes come out the side will drape... But that's operator error and of no fault of the tarp in my opinion...
