DIY Cuben stuff sacks

I ordered the set as well after seeing the post.

I had an absolute blast making these. The fun alone was worth every penny.
Don't know how well they will hold up, or how sturdy the adhesive is, but they seem pretty good. These are not sewn, just folded and bonded using the double sided tape-I'm not even sure what kind. Very easy to do, no mess and it was nice not hauling out the sewing machine - and it is CUBEN!
Not quite as nice as my Zpacks, but at <$4 per sack I'm more than happy (I was able to get 8 sacks).

I would like to hear from those with more experience using cuben and tape about the construction method-is there a better technique and how do you feel about the strength and durability.

If you are at all interested in cuben, but have been put off by the price--give this a try. At the very least you will have several small light duty stuffs for organizing most of the small items in your pack.

You can download the instructions on making these stuff sacks for ideas on Yama's website in PDF for ideas if you want. I ended up ordering twice off Yama's website spending 56.00 for so far 9 stuff sacks of various sizes and still have lots of material left over to make more.
