Sounds like you had a great time.

Man, I learn something new every time I go out there!

Your missfortune is what will make this trip memorable forever! Its great when things work perfectly, but those are not the times you remember and they dont make intersting stories. Happy Birtyhady my friend! I am sure you will have better hangs but you may not have a more memjorable one.

Happy Birthday and happy memories. Im still waiting for delivery of my first hammock, but ive had similar "adventures" in backpacking.

I remember visiting your Grass Valley once- visiting my friend Todd A. He was the irst person to show me coffee roasting at home. Took me to Victrolas? Coffee roasters. Im a coffee roaster now.

Anyway it sounds like you are well on your way to many hammocking adventures.

Congratulations on your first foray into a great hobby.

Pro Tip: One can practice many essential camping skills (setting up shelters, cooking, et cetera) in your back yard before hitting the trail.
