I got mine at REI via the web. I love mine and will set up my kids the same way. Quick, easy and customizable.

I've bought SMC rings from REI myself but now I don't see them on their website. They have them at whoopieslings.com.

Look under belay/rappel and you'll see the Omega Pacific rings I got. Super over the top for hanging but I err on the side of safty rather than weight. Not a gram weenie....yet (I can feel it coming).

Not exactly sure where I read it(might have been a climbing forums) but the regular aluminum descender rings that REI used to sell as well as few other places, are poor quality and generally not popular with the canyoneering community because they are hollow. The only ones recommended from rei are the Omega Pacific Rings because they are solid. My info may be a bit off on this because I was just skimming through the forums trying to find out why I couldn't find the regular plain ones that I bought before, anymore. And this info was just based on a few peoples opinions. It was enough to get me to investigate alittle on my own and the plain ones were in fact hollow and were not meant to be used more than once for their intended task.
