I must have a pillow. I've used rolled up clothes and anything I could find but nothing feels as good as a pillow. I have the Black Rock down pillow but it goes flat when I lay on it.
I tried the Snoring Cub from Arrowhead Equipment.
It was just too small. If you just want support under the neck, it would be perfect.
About three years ago, I tried the Snoring Bear Pillow from Arrowhead Eq.Double the size of the cub. It is perfect for me. The Mrs. made me a pillowcase of microfleece. I don't plan to try anything else.

I have an Obusforme cervical travel pillow that helps a lot with my neck issues. If I sleep with no pillow, or rolled up clothes, etc., I'm pretty cranky the next day and no one wants to be around me.

I'm all about the pillow harelynemo made for me. It's perfect! The only other pillow I would use is the köppen pillow from Dicks. Only problem is it does not compress at all.

I made a DIY pillow and stuffed it with left over climashield Apex that I had from an under quilt I built previously. Works great and stuff pretty small too.

I use a baby pillow. 1.3x1.5 feet, 2 oz of down and about 3.5 oz total.
It works great and if I need more support I just fold it over.

I'm the same way. I've got a thermarest, but the couple times I used it in the hammock it just put my head up at too much an angle. My go to pillow of late has been my wadded up White Sierra down jacket. Does double duty too on those cool evenings and early mornings. Now that summer is almost here, the tried and true Columbia fleece pullover will take over.

Dito about the down jacket. In my case a cheap sleeveless vest from Quechua (Decathlon home brand) which makes sitting next to the campfire less of a "pick-a-side-that's-cold" experience. Not to mention that a prewarmed pillow is almost to much luxury for me ;-)

I've been using one of the thermarest pillows from REI for years on river trips, and long before I was a hanger. After looking at this thread I am strongly considering the Snoring Bear. Is the m90 as durable as the rip-stop? And how much lighter is it, if anyone knows?
I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!

I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.

It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.
