I just recently got a Snoring Cub in M50 from AHE, its a sweet little thing. I also have a Kifaru Woobie Express which, when folded into its pocket makes a great reading pillow.

    God bless,

I have been thinking about using the REI gift card I have on this guy: http://www.rei.com/product/775159/re...able-neck-rest

This guy is also a little intriguing too: http://www.rei.com/product/763637/re...-travel-pillow

Ive got the JRB Armadillo pillow, very comfortable.

But with bulky quilts in my backpack for winter camping, Im finding it takes up a fair amount of room.

Im looking at a HyperliteMountainGear backpack and notice they have this cubenfiber stuffsack pillow (more like a pillowcase), which only weights 1oz and has a fleece layer on one side.

Im thinking in winter, I can probably stuff my down jacket (or vest) in there and use it. Will be good space savings for my backpack and makes use of existing gear.

Another Snoring cub pillow fan from AHE. Bought it when he first introduced them. Perfect for me in the hammock!

    Re: Pillow preference

I have an outbound synthetic pillow that i opened up and filled with down. About to do the same with my Swiss synthetic pillow. Don't need a pillow, so a nice down pillow is just nice to have.

I am the proud owner of a limited edition JohnSawyer Nada pillow. It has fleece on one side and 1.1 ripstop on the other. The pillow is just an empty sack with a flap to keep the filling in, But when I added my Patagonia Ultra down shirt I got from REI, My head was in heaven... I have both a medium and large thermarest pillows, as well as a Quixote Goose down and My Nada pillow was by far the most comfortable.

I was fed up with smelly jackets, zips in my face and lumpy stuff sacks.

It took me a long time to decide on a pillow... (inflatable, down, not down, neck etc...) but I finally went with the synthetic Wilderness Logics one... (with fleece on one side... recommended).

    http://www.wildernesslogics.com/Pillow-Pillow.htm

It's bigger than I thought it was going to be... but small enough to squash into a small REI ditty bag.

A thin down pillow doesn't make any sense to me... I'm not looking for compression in a pillow. A small synthetic filled pillow gives more support at only a couple of ounces more.

I wanted a good pillow... and that's what I got.

    Cheers
    Soupy

I've tried a thermarest pillow which is ok, but I generally leave it at home and just wad up a fleece pullover or some other article of clothing I don't need to wear. I tend to find that in the hammock I need less pillow, just enough to fillthe gap between my neck and the hammock.
