I brought the packing slip, it had the pad and the bag listed separately w/ prices. No hassle.

got out and tested mine last night, though I only stayed out til it was about 54, I was nice and toasty w/ my down jacket and vest rigged between my two GT ultralights as an "underquilt". Thanks for posting that overstuffing video, I'll definitely be doing that with this bag at some point. This bag will be pretty awesome once I put a few more oz of down in it!

Can anyone post any pictures? I'm considering this versus an Eddie Bauer 20° synthetic bag that is considerably more expensive. I'd appreciate your thoughts an input.

Walmart Ozark Trails Down Sleeping Bag

Much depends on your needs. The EB bag you posted is 2 1/2 pounds, nearly 3 pounds for the long version.

I have been constructing a top quilt from my Walmart bag, adding addition down wherever I think it is needed. I am still at 1 1/2 pounds after removing the hood and zipper and adding the down. I may add more down after I finish my underquilts. This weight includes their stuff sack.

If you plan to winter hang, you still will need some bottom insulation with the EB bag. Foam pad, bottom quilt, or some alternate device (like cutting a hole in the bag to make it like a peapod).

Which do you think would be warmer? How is the zipper and fabric quality on the walmart bag?

Whoohoo! Picked up one at my local Goodwill today for $14.95!!! This is no.2 and at that price will be a DIY project. (if I can keep my 11 yr old from taking it) I really like the first one i purchased. Still lofts up nicely and I will be taking it on the AT at the end of this month.
