Sharing some pics, Moscow in March.

    Hey guys (& gals),

Just sharing some pics from a few days ago, sights around Moscow, Gorky Park, and a bit of hammock camping in a forest on the outskirts of the moscow region. It was one of those impromptu trips as I had just wanted to try out some new gear.
The underquilt acted more like a towel under the hammock- not very warm, but managed to get by with the help of a pad.
Ordered a serious u/quilt and tarp from hammock gear recently, so hope will be more prepared for next winter's big trip to Siberia.
Just need some whoopie slings now as well to help speed up the setup time and help deal with the thick gloves and frozen fingers problem?

    Regards to all.

    Russ

    Thanks...
I love looking at all the pics, scenery, setups and reading about the trips, mods & diy's here on hammockforums..
Would like to see some hammocks here in Russia, but so far havent seen any.
One curious old lady did kinda ask me what's that? And i told her 'its for sleeping', hoping she understood some english. I think she did..

Really enjoyed the pictures, and I also like your choice of hammock.

    Love the pics, thanks!

BTW how do u handle going from Kuala Lumpur to Moscow? temperature wise?

I once stepped out from the airport having just flown from a Tassie winter(read nowhere near as cold as Moscow)and I nearly fainted...

    cheers,
    Simon
