    Dude.

The Soviet Space Shuttle. I always wondered what they did with that thing.

    Winter camping trip to Siberia?

Looks like we're going to have a new "Coldest Hang" record holder soon.

Welcome to HF and thanks for the pics. Keep in touch on that Siberia thing.

Re: Sharing some pics, Moscow in March.

Always good to see hangs & setups from other parts of the world.

There are people in some cool places on this forum. Thanks for posting these pictures and showing us your neck of the woods.

Glad you guys like the pics. Will post some next time as well, got a nice trip planned in spring with the missus by Seliger lake.

    Hey there HammockDreamer,
Im hardly in KL anymore, but yeah, the heat and humidity does tend to get to me now. Ive been working a fair amount in the north sea on ships, so much prefer the cooler climates. Good thing about winter camping, no bugs! :-)

    Hi Sargevining,
Haha, yeah the Soviet Space Shuttle. Its called 'Buran', but Im pretty sure this one is just a mock-up/prototype that never flew. The real Buran got destroyed in 2002 when the hanger collapsed.
Yeah, looking forward to visiting Baikal Lake in Siberia. Its the deepest (5,387 ft) and most voluminous fresh water lake in the world. Also among the clearest. It is in the southern side of Siberia, so not sure how cold it will get in winter. Probably between -20 and -30'C (-4 and -22'F) so dont think that will be close to the record coldest hang, but it will be for my record for sure, haha.
Yeah, will keep you posted on how it goes.

Hi there Shug, thanks for looking. Your videos have been inspirational and definitely got me very intrigued with winter hammock camping. So thats where you picked up the Russian accent then. I've heard Vladivostok is nice. Not been there yet. Hopefully soon. You should go back for sure.
I was involved with some of the offshore repair work post Hurricane Katrina (2005/2006)off Louisiana. Love the states and want to return someday too. Always wanted to visit Montana.
All the best to you buddy and keep those videos coming
