I just picked up one of these it will serve dual purpose, one side is reflective.
I have not used it yet.

for me, a piece of Tyvek under the hammock keeps the feet off the ground (like a welcome mat) and makes a clean spot for gear storage, organizing, unpacking, re-packing.

I use that Wal-Mart tarp also.

I had that Walmart tarp. Don't use the grommets, they broke the first time I used them.
I use a piece of tyveck for my "welcome mat" I also added some Velcro to it so it can be a rain skirt if needed.
A 2x3 piece of visqueen....
We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..
