    May get a thread injector

Looking at getting a thread injector. I noticed a lot of people like the old singer machines for their durability. I may have to see if I can find one of these. I appreciate all the advice on the pitfalls of used machines.

I will want one to sew straps and other gear and maybe some other outdoor fabric for seat cushions for our wrought iron furniture.

I appreciate well made tools and the design and forethought that went into them. The older stuff I do like.

The only thing missing from the thread injectors that I find on most "man" tools is an hour meter. I have to figure out how to put an hour meter on a machine when I get one just in case a buddy of mine comes by unannouced.

Check out the sewing machine stores, especially the ones that do industrial machine repair. I picked up a 1957 Emdeko from one for $50. Included some free lessons/advice and a 30 day warranty. Machine was tuned up, oiled, greased & ready to go. They have a good selection of older, used machines.
It's all metal construction and weighs about 30 pounds. Does the basic sewing things, nothing too fancy, but that's not what I planned to use it for. Works great and the only problems I've had are operator failures.

Install a larger oil sump and a secondary oil filter, too...

I bet a guy could make a decent living refurbishing the old machines and somehow printing multicam prints on them. Put a spot for a ferro rod and you could even call them tactical thread injectors and charge more for them.

    Hmm, business plan forming...

That sounds great and would be perfect if one of the guys drops by unannounced. Put an hour meter, some camo, double oil filters, some super duper LED million candle power sewing lights and there you have it.I

Now I have to figure out how to get rid of the chair or sewing stool and use a recliner???????
