Lol, it's not a bad little island, a bit over populated and run by idiots but there's still some nice areas to escape to.

Your trip reports always look great.

Tbh I always think the same about England, when I have been either by train or car it seems like when you cross the Scottish border the land seems to just be flat or rolling hills.
Thanks Craig, once you pass the Lake District there does appear to be a big change in landscape, I think that's why all my trips find me heading north.

I'm not an archeologist but from what I know it was typical do divide houses into two rooms. Could also be livestock pens with no roof but ways to separate animals and protect them.

Some of this might look familiar:

You might want to poke around this site:

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you find out. ;-)
Thanks nothermark, I'll check out those links cheers

    Thanks for the trip!
Funny if I was dropped there, I would think I was home instead of half way around the world

Can you divulge the location of your area?
I used to live on the outskirts of the Lakes 20 years ago but can't quite work out where it is.
    Looks like a nice site.

If only it was Oregan, I've been to Vancouver a couple of times and love the terrain around there

Thanks UW, they were kind of spikey, we had to be careful of the cornial abrasions as Shug would put it.

    Lovely pics Rich

Looks like a good spot with some good views. I got stranded at home for the weekend ;(

Did you ever get your hole in the footbox of the quilt sorted?

    Thanks for posting

Thanks Paul, we do have some nice areas, they're just a bit small and compact

    Thanks mate

Not done anything with the footbox, I've not had cold feet yet though so I've not bothered. I think if I notice any cold spots I'll just run a couple of stitches through and cinch it up.
