Backyard campers...How long do you leave your hammock up?

How many days do you leave your hammock set up if you're a backyard sleeper? I've been sleeping in the hammock a couple of nights a week since the beginning of August. I have a 10 X 13 tarp I picked up at Tractor Supply that I leave up all the time. It keeps my "good tarps" from too much UV damage and bird poop. I usually bring the hammock back inside the next day but have left it set up for as long as four days before. Any thoughts on leaving the hammock and UQ, with protector, set up for a couple of days per week?
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Here in Minnesota while temps are below freezing, I am always concerned with giving my equipment the opportunity to dry as much as possible. I will leave my cheap HomeDepot tarp suspended for weeks but my hammock and quilts come inside when I do.

I have had table cloth hammocks in the back yard in MN for 3 summers and winters straight, they are kid size and they still hold me, had one fail with 3 kids in it swinging last fall, but they still held me this last weekend. Now my camping one if under a tarp I leave it out 2-3 days on my days off, other wise I just bring it in because I'm not sure when I will use it next.

I've had them up to 4-5 weeks. Used my dd tarp then which between bird droppings and small limbs was good. Since I built a pipe stand so that I have a better hanging space ( trees are 25' apart) I have had my db72 uq + tq and my superfly up for 2 weeks. Between a snow storm rain and wind I must say the down is still dry and the tarpis doing great! Might be switching out hammocks this week tho. So will probably switch tarps too.

My wife demand that the Warbonnet RidgeRunner with TQ/UQ stay up in the backyard full time

She will lay there birdwatching or taking a nap between gardening and tending to her chickens and wild birds.

While not in use she will cover the hammock with cheap wally world tarp and clips to protect it from UV ray and elements.

It's been out 3 months, I can see some fraying of the whoopie slings.

PS I might get her those brazilian hammock for summertime

I tend to take down my hammock each morning after I've been out. But that is just because I don't trust the birds to not poop on it, even under my tarp.

I live in the inner city. It comes in with me in the AM. Tarp is in skins and I will sometimes leave it up, but not very often. Hammock skins are the next project to keep the complete rig together.

I bought a GG 12'X12' to use when I want to keep my hammock up for a few days. It provides plenty of shade on the diagonal and I'd rather sun rot a $20 tarp than my Superfly. When I'm going to leave it up for a couple of days, I also use my pad and PLUQ instead of my nice down quilts. The longest I've left it up has been about a week.
