Hello!

After a lot of hesitation (spanning about two years), I've decided to purchase a hammock. My primary motivation is to alleviate my back pain, and the horrible nights I have sleeping on closed cell foam (or even inflatable) mattresses.

For a long time I looked at Hennessy Hammocks thinking that they were pretty much the only ones around. I don't know why - they must have good marketing.

Anyway, since I decided to plop down quite a bit of saved money, I went and did more research, and settled on buying a Warbonnet Blackbird (with an Edge tarp).

My other shelters are the Hilleberg Akto, the GoLite Shangri-La 1, and a pretty cool tarp from Alpkit (lots of attachment points throughout the tarp, allowing for many configurations). But, at the end of the day (or rather in the morning) I always wake up feeling like I've been hit by a train. So, here's hoping the Blackbird will solve these problems

Now I can't wait for it to arrive...!
