    Newbie from uk

    Hi All,

I live in Wiltshire in the south of the uk.
I've been tent camping for about 40 years now and really enjoy being out in the countryside.
Ain't it strange, when you first start camping you seem to cope with the bare minimum of kit, then over the years you seem to add more and more "essentials".......
I've now got to a stage in life (usually referred to as "old") where I just like to keep things simple when I'm not at work but the rest of the family don't share my enthusiasm for roughing it.
My plan is to try and get out and do a bit of walking, and some overnighters thrown in and I really like the idea of a hammock
I'm trying to decide between a DD Frontline and the TW Green Hornet, both about the same price so I'd really appreciate any advice you hangers could give me...........

    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hello from Yorkshire !

    Here's something else to consider..

    http://ukhammocks.co.uk/shop/article...2%26aid%3D1%26

Theres also a lighter / cheaper version depending on your weight.

You won't need a bug net for a few months yet. When you do, buy some midge proof netting from here...

    http://www.midgie.net/netting.htm

Look up the instructions on here for fronkeys bug net. Or you could ask mat at UKhammocks if he will make you one. I think he stocks the netting.

    Good luck with your choice

    Thumbs up

    Wow, what a welcome!!!!

Thanks for all the great advice everybody. I'm leaning towards the TW 1.8m at the moment.....don't quite know why but its just ahead of the DD.....the UK Hammocks site looks good though, but I'd prefer one with a mesh already attached I think, but they certainly offer a few goodies to "pimp" your hang!!!!

    Cheers All
