I have an outdoor stand that I use indoor with my Eno DN, however, my Hennessy is way too long to remotely fit in it. I'd have to add another 2-3 feet to the bottom rail just to keep from sitting on the ground.

If anyone ever wonders, yes, an Eno inside is a great way to watch TV, play X-box, snuggle up with a book and a cat, etc.

    Re: Ikea Hammock

    Nice find!

There is an IKEA 10 miles from me... My wife is going to kill me when that stand shows up at my (Ok... her) house.

I have an eno single and newly purchased eno double and I think the stand would work nicely as a device to test a lot of my DIY hammock projects for this year.

So I went to IKEA today and brought one home. Used 3/16 x 2 3/4 wire lock pins instead of bolts for the non-feet connections. Hung my ENO dbl and it worked fine. Hung my WBBB with biners through the loops holding the strap buckles. It started off with a normal amount of tension on the ridge line. When I lay down, the connection slop plus the stand tube deflection really loosened the ridge line. Going to have to come up with some other way of hanging it. Maybe a really short whoopie. I want to try to use it on some scout camp outs where we camp in big fields. Will need some sort of extension for my superfly though.

It does come apart and store away nicely though with the removable pins.

My newly purchased IKEA hammock stand with also new ENO doublenest set up in my small allocated space my wife assigned me in the basement. It's really destined for the back yard as soon as it warms up here in Ohio.

I like more hammock sag for camping but think this will work for casual backyard napping and maybe testing some equipment.

My backside touched the bottom pole with my ENO Singlenest w/whoopie slings.

Upgrade: I think I'll try to extend those poles another foot taller since they are currently only 4' high...assuming I can find a metal tube at hardware store?

I am thinking I can get an adjustable ridgeline, pass each end through the metal hoops on the uprights, larks head onto the hammock gather, and shorten the ridgeline until each end of the hammock is at the upright. That should provide the least sag. I'm trying to minimize the suspention length required

I didn't have a problem with the sag using my eno, only when I tried to use the WBBB. The hammock was comfortable but the bug net was on my face.

Woke up to my wife saying "lets go to Ikea and buy you that hammock stand".

I tried my WBBB, WB traveler, and ENO DN. The ENO works best for me. I was also able to add the bug net too. I guess I won't be selling my ENO set up now.

    Bought one few weeks ago.
I would like it a bit longer, but it's ok, here with a diy hammock made with a bed sheet, from Ikea too.

Cool find! I would love one of these for home hanging and gear tests. Does anyone know if a HH explorer deluxe would work? Or would mods need to be made? Would love to add this to my "Ikea list" when my family makes its next pilgrimage to the land of "modular buil it yourself".
