I added wire lock pins to make the stand portable.
    I got them at Lowes.

I recently got this hammock stand for my upcoming birthday ... Immediately tried it with my trustworthy Hennessy Expedition Asym, but before even trying to lie down I already knew I was going to hit the bottom pole. Guess what happened? Exactly. A standard Hennessy is a little long to comfortably fit in between those poles.

Anyone that does know a better match? Might order a ENO singlenest (or double?) to actually use the stand. I'm not very keen on modifying my Hennessy ...

    Greetings from Belgium,

    Joris.

FWIW : tape measure indicates 275cm (approx. 9ft and 0.27 inch) between connection points.

At that distance figuring that the ridgeline length of 83% you should be good if you can connect straight to where your ridgeline does with anything right at 11'... Another important measurement is distance from connection point to the highest thing you can hit... But if course you need to add a little for continuous loops or whatever at the ends but you should be right with anything under a 11'...
Live, Laugh, Love, if that doesn't work. Load, Aim and Fire, repeat as necessary...

How far above the ground(or bottom pole) is the connection point? I've been thinking about one of these, but want to make sure the hammocks I have will work first.

    Ikea Hammock

It looks like it should be easy enough to put a removable extension piece in the bottom tube joint. Nice!

I picked the stand up the other day. Mod'd mine to fit my rain fly. Made a post about it here: https://hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php?p=995817

The tubes have folds on the backsides so they slide in and fit together. There's no easy way to slide a generic extension tube on it.

124cm to the connection point, top of the bottom pole is 16 above the ground, makes for about 108cm (3 feet 6³³⁄64 inches according to Google) free hanging space.
